Engineering Technician Position
The Engineering Technician supports manufacturing operations through CNC programming, process improvement, troubleshooting, and engineering project support. This role works closely with production teams to improve efficiency, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with CNC programming, code review, and process optimization to improve production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to minimize downtime.
- Inspect and verify parts meet quality and specification requirements.
- Evaluate tooling performance and recommend cost-saving improvements.
- Support manufacturing process improvements that enhance quality, productivity, and reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and engineering records.
- Assist with CAD-based design projects and engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams on equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent technical training and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of CNC programming or manufacturing support experience in a production environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CAD software such as AutoCAD.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
- Onsite position in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Exposure to production equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate to high noise levels.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
