Avionics Technician IV

As an Avionics Technician IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations. Youll be responsible for moderately complex installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics components, and maintenance of test equipment, tools, and manuals.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings
• Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering and crimping techniques
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL
• Ability to mentor and guide subordinates
• Basic understanding of spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pitot static equipment
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $34.90 - $47.99. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
