We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Master Production Scheduler to lead the planning and coordination of manufacturing activities. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that production schedules align with customer demands, inventory targets and operational efficiencies.

Position Summary

This opportunity is ideal for an energetic, self-driven individual who wants to join a progressive custom injection molding manufacturing organization.

The Master Production Scheduler successfully minimizes production costs through efficient job sequencing, batch sizing, setup cost minimization and effective capacity planning.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule to meet customer demand and optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather the data necessary for production planning, including Sales,Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Customers.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and historical data to determine production requirements.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as neededto meet deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues thatmay arise.
  • Utilize manufacturing principles to streamline production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels and performance metrics.
Experience
  • Proven experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment; injection molding experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using forecasting systems and MRP systemsto generate accurate demand forecasts.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpretdata and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Skills
  • Production Planning: Ability to develop and execute production plans based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Forecasting: Proficiency in using forecasting systems and MRP systems to generate accurate demand forecasts.
  • Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices, including coordinating with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Understanding of manufacturing principles and the ability to identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
