Tool Maintenance Tech - Injection Molding

MPP Corporation, a custom injection molding manufacturer with an onsite Tool Shop, is seeking an experienced Tool Maintenance Technician with 2-3 years of experience in tool maintenance, revisions and repairs.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical, mechanical and mathematical skills along with a solid understanding of injection molding processes and tool design.

• Perform tool maintenance, revisions and repairs to support injection molding production.
• Evaluate individual tool designs and identify appropriate repair processes within design specifications and partprint requirements.
• Apply knowledge of injection molding processes and tool design when troubleshooting and completing repairs.
• Design and develop fixtures in accordance with established specifications.
• Validate and set up tool insert changes as specified by engineering prints.
• Work with precision equipment while maintaining accuracy, quality and attention to detail.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently to meet customer and production requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate closely with team members, including Production and Engineering departments.

• 2-3 years of experience in tool maintenance, revisions and repairs.
• Technical or college degree.
• Ability to read and interpret design prints.
• Knowledge of injection molding processes and tool design.
• Strong technical and mathematical skills.
• Mechanical knowledge of precision equipment.
• Task-oriented approach with the ability to meet customer requirements and production deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering and other team members.
