Position Snapshot

Join our Production Team as a Cartoner Operator and play a key role in ensuring pizzas are accurately packaged and prepared for shipment to customers.

  • 3rd shift is from 5:20pm-5:30am

Position Summary

The Cartoner Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting cartoning equipment to ensure pizzas are packaged accurately, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role helps minimize downtime by identifying and resolving equipment issues, maintaining production flow, and ensuring all packaging meets company, food safety, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor cartoner equipment to package pizzas according to product specifications.
  • Load cartons into machines and maintain glue applicator levels.
  • Bring in carton pallets and maintain adequate carton supply for production.
  • Keep pizza bins emptied and production flowing efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments to maintain operational performance.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
  • Perform product weight checks, box checks, and temperature verifications as required.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet customer and company standards.
  • Assist with changeovers, including carton size changes and equipment setup adjustments.
  • Support line audits, center lining activities, TPM initiatives, and housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through 5S practices.
  • Follow all company policies, safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety requirements.
  • Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn production equipment and systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make minor equipment adjustments.
  • Ability to accurately complete production records and paperwork.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, standing, reaching, and repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold production environments.
Communication Skills
  • Ability to read and understand safety procedures, operating instructions, and production documentation.
  • Ability to complete reports and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to calculate percentages, ratios, and production measurements.
Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply common-sense troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to identify equipment or product issues and take appropriate corrective action.
