G&W Products is a leading contract metal manufacturer and fabricator. Founded in 1968, we specialize in metal stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, manual and robotic welding, tool and die work, powder coating, and assembly. Our three Fairfield, Ohio facilities provide 190,000 square feet of manufacturing space and serve industries including construction, transportation, energy, and defense. We are now hiring a Certified Weld Inspector.
This position works closely with weld supervisors, leads,and welders toconduct dimensional and weld inspections and verify workmanship, quality, and safety standards.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)What do I need to bring?
- Must be AWS, Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
- 2+ years of weld inspection, required
- Must be proficient at reading weld symbols and blue-print drawings
- Manufacturing experience, preferred
- Experience with D1.1 and Ground Combat Vehicle Welding code for aluminum and steel
- Capable of using measuring equipment (i.e. fillet gages, calipers, height gages, etc.)
- Proficiency in GD&T preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to lift 45 lbs.
- Observe testing and confirming welds meet required standards
- Partner with the Weld Inspection leaders to develop and approve required weld documentation
- Perform weld audits
