At Curio Wellness we empower people to thrive by adapting plant nature to human nature. We are committed to transforming the conversation around cannabis, fostering a deeper understanding of its benefits, and ensuring that every product we offer meets the highest standards.

The Floriculture Supervisor provides team oversight and performs essential hands‑on tasks supporting the production of high-quality medicinal cannabis, including but not limited to irrigation, pest management, propagation, transplanting, spacing, grading, mother crop maintenance, pruning, defoliating, data collection, transporting, harvesting, bucking, trimming, sorting, and kief collection. This position works closely with the Cultivation Manager, and attention to detail is extremely important. The Floriculture Supervisor leads the Floriculture team's day‑to‑day operations and steps in to lead the broader Cultivation department — including Nursery, Flower, Harvest, and Trim functions — when the Cultivation Manager is unavailable.

The Floriculture Supervisor will report any findings that may put Curio Wellness at risk of falling out of compliance with state licensing and regulations to the Cultivation Manager.

The ideal candidate will excel as a team leader within a tightly controlled, state-regulated system and timelines. This role routinely uses sharp instruments and is exposed to a variety of environmental conditions, including loud noise, tight corners and work spaces, and a pollen‑and resin‑producing environment. Work time is generally split between hands‑on plant work while contemporaneously supervising the team (approximately 70%), nursery and facility upkeep including 5S duties (approximately 20%), and continuous improvement initiatives (approximately 10%).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise and execute all activities across the floriculture, harvest, and trim production phases — from propagation through sorting of trimmed material — in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Lead team members during floriculture activities, including cleaning flower rooms, transporting/inducing crops, transplanting, filling/labeling pots, and bottom pruning.
  • Maintain and execute the production schedule for the floriculture, harvest, & trim departments.
  • Supervise irrigation and fertigation of plants; ensure the irrigation schedule in the flower phase is properly followed.
  • Supervise environmental controls of all grow and flower rooms; monitor room environments and report deviations to the Cultivation Manager.
  • Serve as point person for weekly IPM (Integrated Pest Management) scouting and documentation; supervise IPM of flowering rooms and coordinate BCA (biological control agent) applications with IPM specialist.
  • Calibrate pH and EC meters and dosatrons to ensure proper nutrient management.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of all irrigation‑related filters and equipment across the facility.
  • Oversee transfer events and flower/grow room load‑outs; authorize plant replacements when necessary and ensure quality control sheets are completed.
  • Ensure all upkeep and 5S duties are efficiently executed and consistently maintained.
  • Monitor processes, materials, and surroundings to detect or assess plant health or operational issues.
  • Ensure all prioritized and planned work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Compliance & Documentation
  • Follow and enforce all established SOPs.
  • Supervise to ensure adherence to GMP and GAP standards.
  • Maintain plants within the Metrc state compliance UID tagging system.
  • Use Acumatica and Metrc proficiently; serve as backup on these systems when the Floriculture/Production Manager is unavailable.
  • Ensure all necessary cultivation, environmental, and compliance data is collected and properly logged.
  • Submit standard work documentation for review with department leadership on a regular basis.
  • Comply with all Company and HR policies, including confidentiality and non‑disclosure.
  • Ensure daily compliance with security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
