1st Shift Welder / Fabricator
Our client is looking for an individual with welding, construction or concrete experience. The ideal candidate will be looking for a full-time opportunity and come from a skilled trade with a proven track on job longevity. Located in Carlisle.
Pay: $23.00-$26.00/ hour (DOE)
Hours: 6:00am-6:00pm (Mon – Friday)
Duties
:
- Prep, fit, cut, drill and weld various structural steel assemblies.
- Monitor inventory and submit orders as needed, review and establish daily plans.
- Read specifications or blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, or sizes of materials required
- Unload and position prefabricated steel units for hoisting
- Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors
- Fasten structural steel members to hoist cables, using chains, cables, or rope
- Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment
- Fabricate metal parts, such as steel frames, columns, beams, or girders, according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Measure, cut and bend rebar
- Examine work pieces and defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications
Requirements:
- Heavy MIG Welding exp2-year trade school preferred or equivalent experience (4 years)
- Stick and wire welding experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Position could involve working outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
