Are you an experienced pharmaceutical manufacturing professional with a passion for leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement? We are seeking a Manufacturing & Packaging Supervisor to oversee daily production and packaging operations, ensure schedule attainment, drive compliance, and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with extensive pharmaceutical experience who thrives in a GMP-regulated setting and enjoys mentoring employees while improving processes and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Manufacturing Supervisors to develop and execute weekly manufacturing and packaging schedules.
  • Coordinate activities within the department and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production timelines and micro schedules are achieved.
  • Support the Production Manager in monitoring and directing manufacturing and packaging operations.
  • Review manufacturing and packaging work orders throughout the execution process.
  • Provide leadership coverage and operational support during Production Manager meetings, audits, and absences.
Compliance & Documentation
  • Develop, revise, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Review and update manufacturing and packaging records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Perform manufacturing and packaging-related ERP transactions as required.
  • Write, review, and support manufacturing and packaging qualification protocols and reports.
  • Ensure operations comply with cGMP requirements, FDA regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.
Continuous Improvement & Investigations
  • Improve manufacturing and packaging efficiencies through process improvements, reduced setup times, and equipment enhancement recommendations.
  • Support incident investigations, including internal deviations and market complaints, and assist in implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Partner with technical writing teams to complete investigations and related documentation.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor direct reports to drive performance, engagement, and professional development.
  • Establish goals and objectives for team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and operating in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:Required
  • Minimum High School Diploma, Trade School, Vocational School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or packaging experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical line operations and line balancing.
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs, SOPs, FDA regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
  • Self-motivated professional with a hands-on approach and strong sense of ownership.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (CEFR B1+ or equivalent).
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with serialization and aggregation systems.
  • Knowledge of packaging validation processes.

This position operates within a pharmaceutical manufacturing, production, and laboratory environment and may involve exposure to:

  • Manufacturing equipment and production noise
  • Dust, fumes, odors, and gases
  • Moving mechanical equipment
  • Chemical handling environments
  • Other manufacturing-related hazards requiring adherence to safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
