A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting testing and reporting information which determines the combustibility, explosibility, reactivity and flammability properties of client‑provided materials. This role directly supports process and production safety at our client’s facilities. The information generated from this testing will also provide support to our Consulting team when generating client‑specific reports to help clients better understand production risks during material processing and production of final products.

- Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies.
- Plan, set‑up, and trouble shoot lab scale equipment
- Conduct standard and non‑standard testing with minimal supervision on a daily basis
- Set up, validate and troubleshoot laboratory testing system in coordination with test engineer and/or testing standards
- Manage and report data in a professional and standardized manner
- Maintain test equipment, testing logs, and other related records
- Handle, prepare, and stage various materials for testing and disposal
- Must have basic working knowledge of good laboratory practices, general lab equipment, and PPE usage
- Laboratory work experience in related areas or pilot scale plant setting
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- 2-4 year degree in a technical area with 0-2 years relevant work experience or equivalent laboratory experience
- This is a lab‑based position with extended periods of time spent wearing PPE; required PPE is hearing protection, eye protection, and the potential for any other necessary personal protective equipment. Personal protection equipment are furnished by DEKRA. Must be able to wear a Powered Air‑Purifying Respirator (PAPR) and pass a respirator medical exam.
