WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Portland OR. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Modify electric motors as per customer specification.
- Deliver finished product to designated shipping area
- Processing of completed production orders and quality inspection sheets in SAP daily.
- Support the Mod Shop Lead in projects to achieve on time delivery goals.
- Perform tasks in a safe environment while using all necessary PPE
- Complete daily equipment operation checklists
- Complete daily cleaning assignments
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge / training:
- Knowledge of low/med voltage AC motors preferred
- Understand and follow safety procedures
- Strong mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to understand and follow written procedures
- Ability to use and operate manual tools and power tools in hands-on applications
- Ability to use Microsoft Office software
- SAP and other business software experience is preferred
- Ability to complete assigned modification jobs without assistance
- Ability to follow test equipment procedures and interpret test results
- Ability to identify physical nonconformities on AC motors
- Knowledge to properly identify materials & components for modifications
- Ability to assist fellow technicians on modifications
Experience:
- 2 to 4 years of related experience
