Welder

Job Description Reporting to the Deputy Production Manager, the person in the Welder position reads and interprets blueprints, prepares and assembles parts, selects and adjusts welding equipment, and performs high-quality welds. The role includes inspecting weld quality, correcting defects, performing finishing work, adhering to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting production activities. The role includes inspecting weld quality, correcting defects, performing finishing work, adhering to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting production activities. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and welding instructions.
• Verify dimensions and compliance of parts before assembly and welding.
• Clean and polish parts to be welded as required.
• Plan the assembly sequence of components.
• Fit, assemble, and secure structures using bolts, clamps, tack welds, or other methods.
• Select and set up welding equipment and gas systems.
• Weld, brush, grind, and polish excess weld material.
• Inspect weld quality and penetration and perform corrective actions when necessary.
• Follow all occupational health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

• Training and/or experience in welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand assembly sequences.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Comfortable wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
