** 2nd shift – 2:30pm – 10:30pm, Monday - Friday Over time as needed

** Plant Overview:
*** Non-union plant employing 280 employees across 3 shifts.
* Purchased in 1934 from Breyer’s Ice Cream and began producing caramel in 1935.
* Began producing Marshmallows and Marshmallow Crème in 1961 and Marbits (think dehydrated marshmallows found in cereal) in 1979.
* Kendallville is the sole producer of all our product lines.
** Community Overview:
*** Kendallville is located about 30 minutes north of Fort Wayne and offers a small-town community.
** Responsibilities & Duties:
*** Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment as needed associated with the building, production, and utilities.
* Coordinate with production to address any corrective maintenance required on assigned equipment to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality.
* Perform preventative maintenance inspections on all production, building, and utilities equipment as assigned.
* Participate in the development of documented preventive maintenance plan.
* Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment and system design.
* Analyze equipment failures and recommend/implement corrective actions.
* Communicate with maintenance personnel on other shifts, as necessary, to ensure coordination of maintenance efforts on assigned equipment.
* Work cross functionally as a member of the operations team.
* Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.

* Qualifications:

*** Maintenance training/degree and experience in manufacturing maintenance.
* Self-motivated and strong drive for results.
* Use simple mathematics.
* Lift 50 pounds.
* Able to climb a ladder.
* Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles.
* Able to work in hot and humid conditions.
* Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing, quality standards, hygiene, work safety, etc. preferred.
