Job Summary  The Jr. Machine Operator is responsible for assisting in the operation of manufacturing machinery under supervision. This entry-level role supports production by performing basic tasks and learning to operate equipment safely and efficiently.  This job profile is intended for entry-level support staff who follow specific instructions and procedures, with supervision provided for non-routine situations. Tasks can be carried out after basic training or demonstration.

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of a supervisor is responsible for the quality of parts produced on CNC machines such as CNC lathe, CNC drill, CNC mill, or CNC machining center to perform operations within the capability of the machine.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments,accessories and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig bores, grinder sand shapers.
· Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieceas guides for subsequent machining.
· Observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machiningand adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
· Responsible for deburring own parts before moving parts to the next stage.
· Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane proficiently.
· Ability to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
· Regular and reliable attendance
· Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHSmanagement system which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide quality management effort.
· Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
· Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 3 years minimum machining experience required
* Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
* Ability to learn proper use and application of measuring instruments.
* Basic math skills required to calculate material fabrication.
* Willing to learn and understand CNC programs at the machine.
* Onsite work is an essential function of the job.# What we offer you
