Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a 3rd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 2 based out of Linthicum, MD.
You will be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 20-25 represented (union) employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment for PRFC Cell . You will work independently across organizations; manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets; assign and manage represented EMS Operators to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields; implement our process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule;
and perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage Operator and/or M& P Specialist.
- Provide directions to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies.
- Plan, direct, and oversee manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgeted costs.
- Manage and provide leadership to manufacturing teams, including hiring, training, performance management, and employee development.
- Drive employee efficiency.
- Manage the area to produce quality products.
- Engage employees to achieve their highest potential.
- Implement process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule.
- Perform required SAP/MES transactions.
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline;
Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of work experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline; a minimum of 12 years of experience in Project Management,
Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering,
Operations, or other related discipline may be considered in lieu of degree - Experience leading people across large organizations
- Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement
- Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems
- Experience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demands
- Experience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities
- Current, active U.S.Government Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
