As part of the Technical Services department within CAE's Civil Training and Services division, perform all preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on several CAE and non-CAE flight simulators and associated devices at the CAE Training Center. * Our Doors are Open* (watch here): |The incumbent will support the following roles and responsibilities:
** Description
* ** Perform routine technical tasks in a simulator, laboratory, office, plant, or field environment.
* Receive training in the various phases of laboratory, office, plant, and field technical work.
* Learn and perform preventive maintenance activities on simulators and associated simulator systems.
* Assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and correcting issues on simulators and associated simulator systems.
* Utilize the maintenance management system to record, document, and track maintenance activities.
* Complete all assigned training and development activities.
* Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators.
* Conduct basic visual alignments.
* Execute automated Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures.
* Assist with simulator refurbishment projects and hardware modifications.
* Learn and comply with the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
* Provide customer service support and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
* Perform housekeeping activities necessary to maintain simulator readiness and cleanliness.
* Support logistics activities, including receiving parts, coordinating repairs, and conducting testing and validation.
* Complete administrative tasks as assigned.
* Provide operational support to the Technical Services team as required.
** Minimum Qualifications
*** Associate degree (2-year technical degree) in a technical discipline, or 4 years of experience in an electronics, avionics, or related technical field.
* 0-2 years of relevant technical experience.
* Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing shift requirements.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, system prints, and schematics.
* Proficiency in using electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
* Knowledge of analog and digital electronic theory.
* Computer literacy, including familiarity with PC hardware, software, and computer system architecture.
* Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repair techniques.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Experience supporting simulation, training, aviation, electronics, or technical equipment environments.
* Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
* Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a technical environment.
* Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment testin
