Must Have:

• TRAK DPM Machinist with experience in Proto
  
  TraK controls and precision machining, and production improvement.
• Experienced in silver torch brazing waveguide components and cooling lines.
• Completed 12 months of torch brazing and machining experience including tooling, offsets, machine setup, and process verification.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, tooling adjustments, and inspection of your work.

Nice To Have:

• Experience with aluminum and copper waveguide components

Responsibilities:

• Silver torch braze brass flanges onto waveguide, braze copper fittings onto brass plates, and 1/2 coolant lines.
• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as DPM milling machines, cold saw, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
• Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required.
• Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Basic Qualifications for Machinist 2:

• Set up and operate a Southwestern DPM with Proto Trak controls

Preferred Qualifications for Machinist 2:

• Experience with aluminum and copper waveguide components
