About the Team and Focus

The Consumer Marketing team advances Door Dash’s mission of empowering local economies for millions of consumers. It builds intelligent, last-mile delivery technology for local cities and connects people with local businesses. The New Vertical Consumer Integrated Marketing team leads integrated marketing for New Verticals, driving category awareness, trial, and repeat engagement. Within this team, the Habituation role uses insight-driven storytelling and cross-channel media strategies.

It partners closely with product and pricing teams to drive retention and perceived value across all New Verticals categories.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As Associate Manager, Consumer Integrated Marketing
- New Verticals Habituation, you will lead strategies that drive retention and engagement for New Verticals. You will develop audience-first, insight-driven go-to-market plans spanning on- and off-platform channels. This role reports into the Sr. Manager of Integrated Marketing. You will identify, test, and scale habituation opportunities that encourage consumers to try new categories and drive monthly active user growth.

The position blends product marketing, growth marketing, and lifecycle strategy. You will shape both early experiments and scaled programs that create meaningful business impact. Collaboration will occur with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Product, Strategy & Operations, Finance, and Analytics. Together, you will build integrated strategies that influence customer behavior across the funnel.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead the habituation vision in partnership with the Senior Manager. This involves defining strategy, goals, and a roadmap for repeat engagement. You will communicate Door Dash’s value proposition across New Verticals consistently. You will own integrated go-to-market planning and execute full-funnel marketing campaigns that drive growth.

You will act as the voice of the customer by understanding motivations and barriers. Insights will inform marketing and product roadmaps. You will partner cross-functionally within marketing, serving as a hub for Brand, Creative, Retention, and Performance teams. You will support integrated campaigns with Creative, Growth, Retention, Organic Social, and Influencer teams.

You will track metrics, cultural trends, and competitive insights. This work will evolve how Door Dash shows up for customers in value and habit-building moments. You will review test outcomes and channel performance to refine story arcs. These story arcs will support repeat ordering behavior and category entry. You will design experiments to test habit triggers across owned channels and paid environments.

You will coordinate with growth and retention teams to align incentives and messaging. You will guide creative direction so that story, channel mix, and timing reinforce long-term category entry.

What You Will Bring

You bring 5 or more years of marketing experience in corporate or startup environments. Your focus will be on retention in a B2C setting. You speak the language of marketing mix and understand how brand, CRM, paid, and organic channels interact. You have handled organic social, brand, and paid work. You understand how each influences the other across the funnel.

You can read metrics and cultural signals, then translate them into evolving storylines for audiences. You communicate clearly with partners who use data, finance, product strategy, and operations. No prior listed requirements or tools are specified for this role.
