WPP Unite is WPP’s integrated agency team dedicated to supporting Unilever across media, retail marketing and connected commerce. Working in close partnership with Unilever, WPP Unite brings together specialist capabilities and talent to help drive more connected planning, activation and performance across the business.
Within the WPP Unite structure Barrows is looking to bring on a dynamic and results-oriented Account Executive to join our team, focusing on commerce for Unilever across brand categories (such as personal care, beauty & wellness, nutrition, home care and ice cream). This role is pivotal in driving integrated marketing strategies that leverage commerce insights to enhance brand presence and performance in the digital and physical retail landscapes.
DeodorantsPromotional Planning & Execution
- Support the development and execution of Deodorants consumer promotion plans.
- Manage promotional calendars, timelines, and activation deliverables.
- Coordinate execution across digital coupons, cashback platforms, sweepstakes, sampling, and shopper marketing programs.
- Ensure programs launch accurately and on time across all activation partners.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for agency partners supporting the Deodorants business.
- Coordinate approvals, creative reviews, activation requirements, and program updates.
- Track deliverables and elevate risks to the Senior Manager when needed.
- Facilitate communication across brand, shopper marketing, media, and customer teams.
- Compile and analyse campaign performance data using Beacon and other reporting tools.
- Develop scorecards, post-promotion recaps, and business updates.
- Identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.
- Support monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Support enterprise reporting, governance, and capability-building projects.
- Assist in maintaining promotional playbooks, templates, and best practices.
- Help manage testing initiatives and pilot programs.
- Contribute to cross-category learning and knowledge-sharing efforts.
- Support process improvement initiatives within Consumer Promotions.
- Maintain project tracking tools and documentation.
- Assist with system administration activities related to Beacon, Prism, and other promotional platforms.
- Help identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and reporting automation.
- 5–7 years of professional experience, with experience managing projects and programs end-to-end from planning through execution.
- Experience in consumer promotions, brand marketing, shopper marketing, account management, or a related field.
- Experience in both agency and CPG environments preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines, deliverables, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with brand teams, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to balance day-to-day execution with longer-term planning and strategic initiatives, while connecting the dots across the full promotional lifecycle.
- Highly adaptable and flexible, with the ability to pivot quickly, manage competing priorities, and respond effectively to last-minute requests and tight deadlines.
- Experience with reporting, analytics, and marketing or promotional platforms;
Beacon and Prism experience is a plus. - Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented with the ability to work independently and elevate issues when appropriate.
- Ability to work in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
The salary range for this role is $77,000 - $108,000
* exact compensation will be determined based on individual experience
