Product Marketing Manager, V-BAT

What the role actually is

Shield AI is hiring a staff product marketing manager for V-BAT. The role owns messaging, positioning, launch materials, product briefs, sales enablement, and market analysis for an autonomous aircraft used in defense and security contexts.

This is product marketing for a robot that has to be understood by customers, policymakers, field teams, and industry partners. The work is about translating aircraft and autonomy capability into claims that are specific enough to be trusted.

• Own V-BAT messaging and positioning across missions and customer segments
• Translate aircraft and autonomy capabilities into clear value propositions
• Build sales decks, product briefs, launch content, and campaign materials
• Partner with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams on new capabilities

• Product marketing experience for technical, defense, aerospace, or enterprise products
• Ability to turn complex capabilities into credible market narratives
• Comfort working with product, engineering, sales, policy, and executive audiences
• Strong competitive analysis and go-to-market enablement judgment

Autonomous aircraft cannot rely on abstract AI language. Buyers need to understand missions, constraints, reliability, and differentiation. This role is interesting because the storytelling has to carry technical weight.
