The Coordinator, Step Further Communications plays a key role in advancing the Step Further brand by developing and executing integrated communications strategies that elevate awareness, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and amplify the organization's mission and impact. This position supports the creation of compelling storytelling and strategic content across multiple channels, helping to position Step Further as a trusted thought leader within the industry.
The coordinator ensures consistent and impactful messaging across digital platforms, campaigns, newsletters, media outreach, and stakeholder communications. They develop engaging content including website copy, feature stories, press releases, executive communications, and editorial materials that showcase program outcomes, innovation, and organizational achievements.
In addition, the coordinator supports proactive media relations efforts by monitoring industry and media trends, managing media coverage reporting, and identifying opportunities to increase brand visibility through earned media, conferences, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives. The role also coordinates thought leadership activities, including speaking engagements, webinars, podcasts, conferences, and media interviews, managing logistics and partnering with subject matter experts to deliver polished, high-impact presentations and external communications.
Through strong communication, project management, and relationship-building skills, the Coordinator helps enhance the visibility, credibility, and influence of the Step Further initiative among key audiences and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of integrated communications strategies that advance the Step Further brand, increase awareness, and support organizational objectives.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate compelling content for websites, newsletters, articles, campaign materials, reports, and stakeholder communications that effectively communicate organizational impact and outcomes.
- Ensure consistent application of brand standards, messaging, voice, and visual identity across all communication channels and external-facing materials.
- Coordinate updates to website content, ensuring information is accurate, relevant, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities and communication strategies.
- Assist with media outreach activities, including drafting and distributing press releases, responding to media inquiries, and maintaining media contact databases.
- Monitor media coverage, track communication metrics, prepare news clippings and media summaries, and provide insights on media visibility and public perception.
