JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Corporate Engagement & Thought Leadership leads CARE's strategy to elevate the organization's visibility, credibility, and influence among corporate sustainability audiences to inspire and expand investment in CARE's mission. The position drives integrated communications, marketing, and thought leadership that position CARE as a trusted, innovative partner for companies advancing gender equality, climate action, and social impact. Working with corporate relationship managers, program leads, marketing and communications teams, and executive leadership, the Senior Director develops campaigns and engagement strategies that increase corporate fundraising, deepen partnerships, and demonstrate measurable business and social value.

This leader strengthens the CARE Corporate Council as a flagship engagement platform and builds metrics frameworks to assess the reach, influence, and ROI of corporate communications and thought leadership

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Corporate Engagement & Corporate Council Growth
  • Lead and expand the CARE Corporate Council as a cornerstone of CARE's corporate engagement and fundraising strategy. Proactively identify and convert existing corporate partners into Council members through targeted cultivation plans that demonstrate the added value of membership. Design Council programming that connects senior corporate leaders to CARE's mission, amplifies shared thought leadership, and drives philanthropic and partnership growth. Develop exclusive member experiences including working groups, round tables, and convenings that translate engagement into sustained investment and cross-sector collaboration.

    Partner with relationship managers to build stewardship plans that align Council membership with each company's ESG, sustainability, and DEI goals
Strategic Communications & Fundraising Marketing
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that elevates CARE's visibility among corporations as the partner of choice for creating measurable social and business impact. Collaborate with relationship managers to create and fund integrated communications and activation plans that include employee engagement and cause marketing opportunities, ensuring paid communications investments are built into both new and renewal partnership budgets. Develop clear ROI narratives and impact dashboards that link corporate partnership activities to business, brand, and social outcomes.

    Build communications budgets that advance visibility goals and justify them as part of partnership proposals and renewals.
Thought Leadership & Visibility
  • Lead a measurement-driven thought leadership strategy that increases CARE's influence among corporate decision-makers in ESG, DEI, and sustainability. Identify and secure high-value speaking opportunities, co-develop content (white papers, reports, case studies), partnerships, and campaigns that position CARE as an evidence-based leader in global impact. Implement metrics to evaluate audience engagement, share of voice, and lead generation resulting from thought leadership initiatives.

    Partner with CARE's senior executives and Marketing to align visibility efforts with corporate milestones, major partnerships, and global events
Corporate Storytelling & Impact Marketing
  • Lead co-branded storytelling with partners that strategically communicates CARE's impact and showcases partners' commitments to sustainability, gender equality, and community resilience. Develop and market storytelling tools and products for corporate audiences, including CARE's Social Impact Storytelling Workshop, climate storytelling modules, and humanitarian simulation experiences. Integrate equity driven, authentic narratives that reflect community agency and align with global corporate sustainability priorities
