Marketing for Change is an independent national advertising firm propelled by behavioral science and focused on social change. We are seeking a Senior Director, Marketing & Communications to grow our impact and our portfolio, someone with the network and marketing experience to counsel existing clients and win new ones. This is an ideal role for a leader who brings experience shaping new client relationships, leading high-performing client-facing teams, and directing a portfolio of client campaigns to accelerate impact, especially in the area of health and healthcare.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Proactively build a portfolio of new business, meeting annual targets by developing and managing a growth plan that identifies opportunities to expand our impact, especially in the realms of health and healthcare.
- Build relationships with industry partners and stakeholders to shape business opportunities and partnerships.
- Elevate M4C’s profile through thought leadership—publishing, speaking, and industry participation.
- Own strategic direction across a portfolio of client campaigns, strengthening and expanding client relationships.
- Counsel sophisticated nonprofits, foundations, government agencies and others on our use of consumer research and the Behavioral Determinants Framework to drive creative approaches to some of the most daunting challenges of our time, from mental health to gun violence and health insurance.
- Lead a high-performing team of strategists, planners and coordinators who lead client-facing interactions and provide the direction and coordination needed for campaigns to succeed.
- Translate industry trends into actionable approaches for operational excellence.
- A strategic, entrepreneurial leader with 8+ years of experience in integrated campaign leadership, including experience in health, healthcare or a related field.
- A track record of securing high six- and seven-figure client contracts.
- Proven ability to cultivate and grow existing client relationships.
- Experience translating research insights into breakthrough marketing and communication strategies that produce measurable behavior change for good.
- A deliberately developmental leader of a high-performing team who champions a learning culture and professional growth.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: Salary will be commensurate with experience, with an expected base salary between $150,000 - $170,000 per year.

LocationOur work hubs are located in Orlando and just outside Washington, DC, and we very much prefer to hire people willing to locate in those areas. We are mostly a hybrid workforce with staff working together in-person at least one day a week because we value the fun and collaboration that allows.
