Strategic Outcomes of this Position
The Communications Resident executes Bridgeway’s communication strategy through timely, consistent, and engaging communication across digital, print, social, and in-person channels. Through strong storytelling, clear messaging, and thoughtful creative production, this position helps people understand who Bridgeway is, what is happening across the church, and how they can engage in its life and mission.
By coordinating ministry promotions, maintaining communication channels and calendars, producing content, and measuring communication effectiveness, the Resident helps Bridgeway communicate with one unified voice. This position strengthens Bridgeway’s public identity while giving ministries reliable communication support and ensuring Bridgeway’s theology, multicultural identity, mission, and brand are represented consistently. The Residency provides a structured opportunity for both the Resident and Bridgeway to evaluate long-term alignment, role fit, and potential for continued employment within the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesSuccess Measures:
- Communications and promotional campaigns are executed accurately, consistently, and on schedule.
- Website, Church Center, email, social media, and other assigned communication channels remain accurate and current.
- Bridgeway’s communications consistently reflect established brand, voice, messaging, theology, and multicultural identity.
- Ministry communication plans move efficiently from approved strategy through production, publication, and completion.
- Communication projects, calendars, assets, deadlines, and approvals are well organized and reliably managed.
- Communication metrics and audience engagement are regularly evaluated and used to improve future campaigns and make strategic decisions.
- Digital Communications
- Maintain and update Bridgeway’s website and public-facing Planning Center/Church Center content.
- Create, schedule, and publish social media content according to the strategy, priorities, voice, and direction established by the Director.
- Produce and distribute Bridgeway’s weekly newsletter, email campaigns, and other assigned digital communications.
- Maintain digital content calendars and ensure published information is accurate, current, and consistent across channels.
- Create, publish, and maintain digital content that promotes ministry opportunities, events, testimonies, and church-wide initiatives across Bridgeway’s website, social media, email, and other digital channels.
- Creative Production & Storytelling
- Create or coordinate graphics, print materials, promotional assets, photography, and other assigned creative deliverables within established creative direction and brand standards.
- Write and edit copy for digital, print, email, social media, and promotional communications.
- Identify, collect, organize, and develop testimonies and ministry stories for approved communication channels.
- Capture, select, organize, label, and archive photography, video, and other creative assets so they are readily available for use across Bridgeway’s communication channels.
- Manage approved print, photography, promotional, and creative vendor assignments by submitting specifications and files, tracking deadlines, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring completed work meets Bridgeway’s established standards.

- Gather ministry and event details, prepare promotional content, and publish approved communications across the appropriate channels according to established timelines and communication plans.
