Social Media & Digital Marketing Consultant (Contract) Laight Street Media

New York / Los Angeles preferred | Remote/Hybrid

Laight Street Media is an entertainment marketing and partnerships agency connecting leading brands with some of the world’s most influential artists and cultural talent.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Social Media & Digital Marketing Consultant to take ownership of Laight Street Media’s digital presence across social media, our website, and newsletter.

This is a hands-on, project-management-oriented role for someone who can both develop the strategy and make sure it gets executed. We’re looking for someone who understands how to translate the work we’re already doing across music, brands, talent, and culture into compelling content that builds awareness of Laight Street Media and grows our audience.

• Own and manage Laight Street Media’s social media presence, primarily Instagram and Linked In
• Develop and manage an ongoing social content calendar
• Identify opportunities to turn our campaigns, partnerships, industry moments, and company news into engaging content
• Write, edit, coordinate, and publish social content
• Develop strategies to meaningfully grow our following, engagement, and industry visibility
• Manage and update the Laight Street Media website, including new work, case studies, company updates, and general content
• Manage and develop our email newsletter, including content planning, copy, design coordination, distribution, and audience growth
• Establish a consistent voice and visual presence across all digital channels
• Coordinate with internal team members and external creative partners to gather assets and keep projects moving
• Track performance and provide recommendations based on what is working
• Proactively identify new content ideas and opportunities rather than waiting for assignments

• 3+ years of relevant experience in social media, digital marketing, content, or brand marketing
• Experience managing social accounts and demonstrating measurable audience or engagement growth
• Strong understanding of Instagram and Linked In, with experience managing brand or company accounts
• Experience with email/newsletter marketing and website content management
• Excellent writer with strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
• Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects, deadlines, approvals, and stakeholders
• Able to work independently and take ownership from idea through execution
• Strong understanding of digital culture and what makes content feel current and relevant
• Experience in entertainment, music, talent, media, fashion, advertising, or culture is a plus
• Basic design/content creation capabilities are a plus, though this does not need to be a graphic design role

This is a part-time contract/consulting position.

We care less about a specific title or traditional career path and more about finding someone who has successfully managed and grown digital channels, is highly organized, and can take real ownership of Laight Street Media’s digital presence.
