Content Creator, Social Media Marketing

Smog City Brewing Co. is looking for a part-time Content Creator to capture real moments across our brewery and taprooms, including beer releases, events, food specials, community partnerships, behind-the-scenes brewery activity, and everyday taproom energy.

This role is primarily focused on capturing photo and short-form video content for Smog City’s social media, website, email, and other marketing channels. Posting and channel management are not part of the role.

The Content Creator will report to the Brand & Marketing Manager and work closely with the Retail & Communications Coordinator to support current marketing priorities while following Smog City’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual standards.

LOCATIONS:
Torrance, West Torrance, Glendora, and Long Beach
PAY: $25-$28 per hour, based on experience

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

Part-time, nonexempt W-2 employee

HOURS:

Up to 15 hours per week to start, with up to five additional hours during major events, beer releases, or seasonal campaigns

Capture photo and video content across Smog City locations

Film vertical short-form content for Instagram Reels and Stories

Document beer releases, food specials, events, taproom activity, community partnerships, and brewery operations

Deliver organized raw photo and video assets each week

Complete occasional light editing as needed

Support scheduled content shoots and event coverage

Travel between Smog City locations based on the weekly content calendar

Most weekly coverage will take place at our Torrance brewery, with periodic visits to our other taprooms based on events and marketing needs.

A strong eye for composition, lighting, and natural moments

Experience capturing social-first photo and video content

Someone reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently

The ability to work in active brewery, taproom, and event environments

A clear understanding of how to capture a brand without making everything feel overly staged

Strong organization and communication skills

Basic editing experience with Cap Cut, Instagram, Adobe, or similar tools is a plus, but advanced editing is not required.

The schedule will vary based on brewery and taproom activity and may include:

Weekday content visits

Evenings for events and programming

Weekends and peak taproom hours

Additional coverage during major releases and seasonal campaigns

Schedules and assignments will be coordinated in advance based on current marketing needs.
