Description

Latinos Indy is looking for a highly organized, bilingual Social Media & Project Coordinator to help manage our day-to-day content, sponsor campaigns and project workflow.

This role combines social media production with project coordination. You’ll help make sure content gets created and published on time, sponsor commitments are fulfilled, deadlines are tracked and the team always knows what is coming next.

You’ll report directly to the Founder and Publisher.

What you’ll do:
  • Plan and maintain the monthly content calendar
  • Create, schedule and publish posts, carousels, Stories and Reels using Canva and Cap Cut
  • Write and edit social media copy in English and Spanish
  • Manage sponsor campaigns from kickoff through completion, including gathering assets, drafting content, coordinating approvals, publishing deliverables and sending proof of delivery
  • Coordinate handoffs with our Business Partnerships Representatives so sold campaigns move smoothly into production
  • Track projects, deadlines, approvals and outstanding tasks
  • Follow up when information, assets or approvals are missing
  • Flag scheduling conflicts or gaps before they affect publication
  • Pull weekly performance numbers and prepare a simple status report
  • Keep content files, campaign materials and project documentation organized
  • Make occasional updates to our Squarespace website, including events, listings, guides and job posts
  • Gather content for our monthly email newsletter and send it using existing templates
  • Coordinate with contributors, photographers, community partners and outside contractors
  • Keep our community events calendar current
  • Assist with special editorial projects, guides and campaigns

By your 90-day mark, we expect you to be running the content calendar and sponsor-delivery process independently, with the Founder reviewing and providing editorial direction rather than managing each step.

This is a full-time W-2 position paying $45,000–$48,000 per year, depending on experience
.

Benefits include 15 days of accrued paid time off plus paid federal holidays
. Health insurance is not currently offered.

Schedule is generally Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend community events.

TBD:
Finalists may be invited to complete a short paid exercise designed to take approximately 60 minutes. The exercise will include a sample sponsor brief and a few simple content-planning tasks. Finalists will be compensated for completing it.

Requirements
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish, with the ability to write and review content in both languages
  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, digital content, communications or marketing
  • Experience managing social media for a business or organization
  • Confidence using Canva
  • Experience with Cap Cut or another short-form video editing tool
  • Strong organization and follow-through
  • Ability to manage several deadlines and projects at once without needing frequent reminders
  • Attention to detail and the habit of checking your own work
  • Clear, friendly and professional communication
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace, especially Sheets and Drive
  • Ability to work independently once priorities and expectations are clear

You don’t need to check every box on day one. We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in organization, follow-through and content creation who is willing to learn. You should enjoy taking ownership of your work, be comfortable with editorial direction, and know how to turn ideas into an organized plan and finished product.

Nice to have (or we can training you!)
  • Experience managing sponsored content or paid partner campaigns
  • Squarespace or other website-editing experience for occasional updates
  • Experience with Brevo, Mailchimp or another email platform
  • Photography or on-location video skills
  • Experience reporting on social media performance
  • Experience coordinating freelancers or outside vendors
  • Connection to or familiarity with the Indianapolis Latino community
