Social Media Coordinator

Cyclone Septic & Plumbing and That Septic Girl are looking for a part-time or contract Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator.

Our problem isn’t figuring out what to post on social media. It’s finding the time to consistently manage it.

We need someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day execution.

The owner will continue to be heavily involved in the voice, ideas and on-camera content. Your job is to make sure those ideas actually turn into posts, videos get edited and published, comments don’t get forgotten, profiles stay updated, and our overall social footprint doesn’t get neglected when the business gets busy.

You’ll help manage the day-to-day social presence for Cyclone Septic & Plumbing and That Septic Girl across Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube and other relevant platforms.

That includes:

• Posting regularly – the goal is at least daily but preferably multiple times per day
• Work with the owner to maintain the brand “voice”
• Schedule and publish posts across multiple platforms
• Take raw videos and photos from our team and turn them into usable content
• Edit short-form videos for Reels, Tik Tok and You Tube Shorts
• Repurpose existing content across platforms
• Keep track of content ideas
• Organize our photo and video library
• Monitor comments, messages, tags and mentions
• Respond to routine engagement and flag anything that needs the owner’s attention
• Find opportunities to reuse older content instead of constantly starting from scratch
• Help coordinate content around events, conferences, speaking engagements, new services, employees and interesting jobs
• Occasionally come to our office or jobsites to capture photos and video
• Keep a running list of what you need from the owner and make it easy for her to provide it

You should:

• Be extremely organized and good at following through
• Understand Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and You Tube
• Be comfortable editing short-form video
• Write naturally and understand how to maintain an established brand voice – AI will not be used to create any content
• Be able to work independently but able to take direction
• Understand the difference between content that builds a brand and content that’s just filling a calendar
• Be willing to learn about septic, plumbing and the trades
• Be comfortable working with a business that doesn’t want polished corporate marketing
• Know when you can handle something yourself and when you need to ask
• Be comfortable working with blue-collar trades to create content

Experience with Canva, Cap Cut, Adobe products, Meta Business Suite, social scheduling tools or similar platforms is helpful.

Experience managing social media for a local service business, trades company, personal brand or creator is a big plus.

You primarily create stock graphics and generic promotional posts.

You think social media management means posting three times a week and sending us a monthly analytics report.

Approximately 10–20 hours per week to start.

This can be structured as part-time employment or a contract position depending on experience and fit.

Some work can be remote, but we’re in the Guthrie area and would prefer someone who can occasionally be on-site for content capture, meetings or events.
