About this roleReporting to the CEO, the Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for leading go-to-market strategy for new product launches, building the retail marketing foundation for POV's national Sephora rollout, and shaping cross-functional launch execution across DTC, retail, and social. The ideal candidate will be strategic, execution-oriented, and collaborative. This role will contribute to pov by bringing prestige-brand marketing discipline and go-to-market rigor to power POV's next phase of growth.
Responsibilities- Own end-to-end go-to-market strategy for new product launches, from positioning and claims through pricing and launch sequencing
- Translate brand strategy into product marketing plans across DTC, Sephora, and Tik Tok Shop, keeping consistency without losing channel-specific nuance
- Partner with the founders, creative, and social teams to turn product stories into content, education, and campaign moments
- Build the retail marketing infrastructure needed for a national Sephora rollout, including sell-in materials, in-store education, and merchandising support
- Lead competitive and market analysis to inform product pipeline, pricing, and category strategy
- Define and track launch KPIs and report results back to leadership
- Manage cross-functional launch timelines with product development, operations, and retail partners
- Build out the product marketing function as the team scales, including process, tools, and future hires
- Sell-through and inventory velocity at Sephora
- Growth in DTC and Tik Tok Shop conversion following product launches
- Aided and unaided brand and product awareness
- On-time delivery of cross-functional launch plans
- 7+ years in product marketing at a prestige or masstige beauty company, including direct experience at Estée Lauder Companies or L'Oréal Groupe (required)
- Proven track record leading product launches from strategy through retail execution, ideally including Sephora or Ulta
- Fluency in both DTC and retail go-to-market motions, including sell-in, merchandising, and in-store education
- Sharp instincts for beauty consumer trends, especially where creator culture and social commerce intersect with prestige retail
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with comfort operating alongside founders in a lean team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate brand voice into clear product narratives
- Experience working directly with a creator-founder or influencer-led brand
- Background spanning both skincare and color cosmetics
- Experience building or scaling a product marketing function from the ground up
