Introduction

We are a warm and welcoming church, actively caring for each other as well as new additions. We have quality musicianship and effort is put towards a polished service, the focus is on leading God’s people in worship - not a performance. Our church has been in a very healthy state for many years. The leadership is close, work as a team, and genuinely care for the church.

Anytime there is conflict in a leadership meeting it is not over egos or agendas, but differing opinions of how best to love and lead the church. Scripture is handled accurately and thoroughly through the preaching and tough subjects are not avoided. Our Preaching Minister has been here for 20 years. Our Youth Minister of 5 years left on good terms.

His desires and passions shifted from Youth and Children’s Ministry to Preaching and he accepted a Sr. Minister position at another church.

We are seeking a Youth and Children’s Minister to lead and strengthen our student ministries. Our priority is to find the person that God is calling to Miamitown Church of Christ, so we are willing to build around an individual’s strengths and passions. Before we get to that, here are some foundational topics in our search:

• Must be in an authentic and transparent relationship with God through Jesus Christ
• Must be in love with Jesus with a commitment and passion for His mission and His Church
• Must prioritize in this order:
  Jesus, Family, and then Miamitown Church of Christ
• Must review and be able to support and promote our Mission Statement and Core Values (found on our website)

What we are looking for in a staff member:

• To view this as a ministry and a calling, not just a job
• To have a solid understanding of scripture with a Restoration Movement background preferred
• Our church is friendly, real, and genuine; as we bring in additional staff to our church we are looking for these qualities as well

Some specifics of what we are looking for:

• A passion for leading and developing disciples of Christ of all ages
• Have a heart for the youth and their parents, connecting with them in a relational style ministry
• Find joy in encouraging, valuing, leading, and empowering the volunteer teams of the Student and Children’s ministries
• A degree (or working toward a degree) at a Restoration College

What we would expect of you:

• To lead out in creating, shaping, imagining, and rebuilding our Student Ministry
• To work with our current volunteer team to continue, strengthen, and improve our current Children’s Ministry
