Bi-vocational Pastor

Pleasant Green Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist church located in rural Harrison County, Kentucky (nine miles west of Cynthiana, Kentucky) and is seeking a bi‑vocational pastor. This is a part‑time, bi‑vocational position and is not intended to transition into full‑time. We are looking for a man of God who is called by God to serve our church and who will be led by the Holy Spirit in his responsibilities.

Those responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Proclaim the Gospel from the Word of God.
• Preach on Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening services.
• Perform baptisms.
• Lead in the partaking of the Lord’s Supper.
• Collaborate with our deacons and other church leaders.
• Shepherd his flock.
• Minister to the sick.
• Counsel the congregation as needed.
• Support the church’s missions.
• Perform weddings and funerals, if needed.
• Serve the church in a manner consistent with Scripture.

Candidates should have an excellent knowledge of scripture and have excellent speaking and communication skills.
