Overview

Annual Giving Officer, Athletics — Regular position. Implement strategic fundraising initiatives for the Division of Athletics by soliciting philanthropic commitments, coordinating targeted appeals, supporting sport-specific crowdfunding campaigns, and leading all Go Norse Fund efforts in collaboration with Athletics and Advancement teams.

Coordinate and execute all Go Norse Fund initiatives, working with colleagues in annual giving, alumni communications, donor engagement, and athletics ticketing to increase donor participation, implement stewardship plans, and strengthen alumni affinity to Norse athletics. Document and maintain quality records in the donor database (Raiser’s Edge NXT) while adhering to reporting deadlines and using university systems to record interactions, track proposals, and maintain prospect and donor contact information.

Manage special projects and development functions assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Development, including communication with external stakeholders and internal partners, donor and prospect events, sport-specific alumni events and receptions, and volunteer engagement opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Solicit annual gifts typically ranging from $1,000 to $25,000.
  • Coordinate targeted fundraising appeals and support sport-specific crowdfunding campaigns.
  • Lead all Go Norse Fund initiatives and collaborate with teams across Athletics and Advancement.
  • Maintain high-quality donor records in Raiser's Edge NXT and document interactions, proposals, and contact information in university systems.
  • Plan and execute donor and prospect events, and manage special development projects as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience required.
  • Positive growth mindset and a passion for higher education and collegiate athletics.
  • Foundational understanding of fundraising principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications; experience with Teams is required and familiarity with Raiser's Edge is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
