The Director of Development leads and implements Child & Family Center’s comprehensive fundraising and fund development strategy. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this position is responsible for increasing philanthropic support through individual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, sponsor ships, fundraising campaigns, special events, and other revenue-generating initiatives.

The Director of Development builds and maintains meaningful relationships with donors, prospective donors, corporate partners, community leaders, and other supporters. The successful candidate will be a strategic, results-oriented, and relationship-focused fundraising professional with a proven ability to identify opportunities, secure financial support, strengthen donor engagement, and achieve measurable fund development goals.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Development works closely with the President & CEO, senior leadership, oversees the Marketing & Events Manager and interacts with the board of directors and community to support the long-term sustainability and growth of Child & Family Center.

What You’ll Do
:

Fund Development Strategy and Performance

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fund development plan aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities, budget, and financial goals.
  • Identify opportunities to diversify and expand philanthropic revenue.
  • Establish and monitor monthly, quarterly and annual key performance indicators, including progress toward fundraising goals, donor acquisition and retention, sponsorship revenue, event performance, donor engagement, and other relevant measures, in coordination with the President & CEO.
  • Produce a monthly fund development dashboard that clearly communicates fundraising activity, results, trends, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
  • Analyze fundraising performance and recommend strategies to strengthen results and achieve annual goals.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Center’s programs, outcomes, funding needs, and community impact.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, major-gift prospects, corporate supporters, and other prospective donors.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, including individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
  • Develop strategies to increase donor acquisition, retention, engagement, and giving.
  • Coordinate donor meetings, tours, presentations, and other engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure donors receive timely, meaningful, and personalized acknowledgment and communication.
  • Partner with the President & CEO and other key leaders on donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
