RThe pay range is $95,000.00 - $Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. ** Target Foundation
** is seeking an experienced philanthropy manager to join our grantmaking team, focused on our headquarters community of the Twin Cities and Minnesota. The role, Lead Business Partner-Foundation, is responsible for collaboratively planning, managing and enhancing Target Foundation’s giving strategy and grants portfolio, building and deepening trusted relationships with community-serving nonprofit organizations, ensuring our grantmaking aligns with our company Community & Stakeholder Engagement priorities, Corporate Affairs objectives and other community and stakeholder grounded principles and objectives.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of deep expertise in philanthropy and community engagement with strong experience in social impact strategy, community centered grantmaking, budget and portfolio management, stakeholder engagement and program evaluation. They are skilled at building community relationships and partnerships, collaborating with colleagues, influencing senior leaders, and are ready to actively steward social impact investments into meaningful outcomes for communities and Target.
The
** Lead Business Partner-Foundation
** is a hybrid role based at Target headquarters office in Minneapolis, MN, that balances regular in-person office attendance and participation in team and company events with frequent local travel within the Twin Cities to attend community partner meetings and visit program sites on location. This role also requires an ability to attend and represent Target at community partner celebrations and events including ones that may periodically fall on evenings or weekends.
As a Lead Business Partner-Foundation you will:
* Partner closely with other members of the Foundation including the Foundation Director, additional Foundation Business Leads and other internal colleagues stewarding community-facing initiatives in the Twin Cities.
* Plan and actively oversee grants; monitor, track and assess grant progress and associated impacts; identify, document and share key insights and learning.
* Proactively engage with and actively listen and learn from community partners on an ongoing basis through off-site community field visits, in-person meetings and electronic communication.
* Manage grantee onboarding and serve as initial contact for community partners;
Provide clear guidance and assistance to potential and current grantees.
* Conduct and share strategic assessments of funding strategies and proposals including the review and critical examination of specific grant opportunities to evaluate their potential alignment with Foundation strategy and goals.
* Collaborate with the Community Engagement Operations team on operational processes and routines including application design and data/reporting needs.
* Manage grant execution, processing and vetting for identified non-profit/NGO partners.
* Provide input into portfolio strategies over time to achieve stated goals.
* Partner with Foundation team and internal partners to advance measurement, evaluation and learning goals and capabilities.
