An employee in this classification works under the supervision of the Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer. TheCAC Outreach Coordinator supports CAC’s neighborhood outreach, community engagement, partnership development, and public awareness efforts.

The position serves as a community-based connector between CAC, neighborhood residents, businesses, service providers, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include conducting outreach, providing basic information and resource navigation,developingandmaintainingcommunity partnerships, supporting storytelling and promotional content, andassistingwith seasonal outreach activities involving CAC’s resource van.

TheCAC Outreach Coordinator provides initial information, identifies appropriate resources, and connects individuals and families with CAC programs or other community service providers.

Description

Conduct outreach to residents, neighborhood groups, businesses, schools, faith communities, service providers, and other community stakeholders.
Build trust and engage with residents from diverse backgrounds, including individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or other barriers.
Provide basic resource navigation by listening to residents’ needs, sharing information about available services, and connecting individuals with appropriate CAC programs or community partners.
Make referrals and, when appropriate, provide limited follow-up to help ensure individuals successfully connect with the identified resource.
Maintain clear professional boundaries and refer individuals needing ongoing assessment or case management to the appropriate program.
Build, maintain, and leverage relationships with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, neighborhood leaders, businesses, schools, faith communities, and other partners.
Identify opportunities for coordinated outreach, referrals, resource fairs, community events, sponsor ships, and shared initiatives.
Serve as a point of contact for individuals seeking information about CAC services at outreach events.
Plan, promote, and participate in neighborhood events, resource fairs, community meetings, and other outreach activities.
Assist with developing flyers, social media content, presentations, outreach materials, and other communications that increase awareness of CAC services and community resources.
Identify and help develop stories that demonstrate CAC’s community impact, including gathering information from staff, partners, and participating residents.
Support interviews, photographs, testimonials, and other storytelling activities in accordance with CAC policies, confidentiality requirements, and required permissions.
Coordinate with appropriate CAC staff to ensure public-facing information is accurate, accessible, and consistent with agency messaging and brand standards.
Safely drive and operate CAC’s resource van during seasonal outreach campaigns, community events, and other assigned activities.
Assist with scheduling and coordinating the resource van in partnership with CAC departments and community organizations.
Load, transport, set up, and break down outreach materials, tables, signage, equipment, and supplies.
Help ensure the resource van and outreach materials are clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready for community use.
Gather feedback from residents and community partners regarding emerging needs, service barriers, and opportunities for collaboration.
Track outreach contacts, referrals, partnerships, event participation, resource van activities, and other required program information.
Maintain accurate records in agency databases and prepare reports, summaries, correspondence, and presentations as required.
Communicate community needs, service gaps, outreach results, and partnership opportunities to the supervisor and relevant CAC departments.
Represent CAC professionally and serve as a positive ambassador for the agency and its mission.
Attend staff meetings, community meetings, trainings, and other activities related to outreach, communications, partnerships, and resource coordination.
Work occasional evenings and weekends as required by outreach and community event schedules.
