Benefits Full time-eligible to participate in the benefit programs on the first day of the month after your 60th day of employment.
- Recruit people 55+ around the region to join the Senior Companion or Elder Mentor volunteer program.
- Assist interested applicants with onboarding process, interview applicants with support from supervisor, and track new and interested applicants through volunteer database management system
- Organize monthly volunteer retention events for active volunteers in the region
- In collaboration with supervisor, develop partnership with schools, senior centers, senior housing facilities, and other volunteer placement sites to identify a site supervisor for volunteers at the site, train site supervisors on Ameri Corps Seniors program, and ensure the placement is set up for volunteers.
- Provide onboarding training to new volunteers in the program with support of supervisor
- Interview current volunteers toprovide content for newsletters, social media, and highlight stories
- Collect success and highlight stories from volunteers in the region to be shared with program staff for program promotional materials.
- Conduct community needs assessments with Seniors in the region to identify areas of need for senior services and how Ameri Corps Seniors program could fill those needs.

- Preference given to Yupik Speaker for position(s) in the Y-K delta region
- Ability to use computer and Microsoft 365 Suite
- Comfortable calling and talking on the phone with Elders, Tribe members, and other organizations
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow established policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage work time well, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise good judgement, courtesy and tact.
