JOB TITLE: Bilingual (English & Spanish) Community Engagement Lead

CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Non-Exempt

HOURS: 40 hours per week, Weekend and Evening Hours Required

SALARY: $31 per hour;

POSITION SUMMARY

Land Paths seeks an individual with a passion for building a diverse, healthy and whole community connected with the land. The ideal candidate is driven, personable, and creative; excels in an active work environment; is committed to equity in access to nature; and loves the outdoors. The Community Engagement/Participación Comunitaria Lead is integral to Land Paths achieving our mission to foster a love of the land in Sonoma County.

This position will: (1) implement and strengthen organization-wide community engagement, (2) cultivate relationships that encourage and support active participation in Land Paths’ programs and program delivery, (3) develop community relationships to cultivate preserves as “community hubs” and (4) support community connections with nature and each other. The Community Engagement/Participación Comunitaria Lead will represent Land Paths during volunteer activities and participate in community‑building events in a manner that builds collaboration with individuals, corporate groups, and the broader community.

The Community Engagement/Participación Comunitaria Lead will be dedicated to strengthening our shared purpose, through the lens of equity, to steward the land, collectively celebrate its beauty, and renew and inspire awe. This position provides leadership and expertise and is responsible for knowing and implementing community organizing and engagement best practices and providing reflections to assess and ensure the effectiveness of the program and the community experience across all initiatives.
