Our service area includes the communities in Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Yellow Medicine, and portions of Cottonwood, Lac qui Parle, Nobles, and Redwood counties.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

UWSWMN is currently seeking a Programs Coordinator to manage our internal programs and the Community Impact Grants (CIG) program. This is an in-office, full-time position that offers high-level community impact and direct program ownership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of core internal programs—such as Stuff the Bus, the Imagination Library, Wild About Kindergarten, and the Student Emergency Fund—including purchasing supplies, managing volunteers, and outcome tracking.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the Community Impact Grant program, including tracking applications, organizing volunteer review panels, processing payments, and compiling board summaries.
  • Support fundraising and community events (such as the Beer Pairing Dinner and Power of the Purse).
  • Assist with promoting UWSWMN programs, impact stories, and community events through social media updates and marketing collateral.
  • Foster strong relationships with community partners, donors, and volunteers.
  • Handle day-to-day office administration and ensure smooth communication across internal programs with key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability manage multiple programs and priorities independently.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, database management, and general office technology.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and the ability to occasionally lift and transport program materials (such as supply bins and book boxes).

Salary: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
