Description:
Ministry Function The Network Relations Director supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by sharing Convoy’s vision and mission and garnering support from churches. This person creates and oversees strategies for engaging existing and new partners to generate financial resources, awareness, advocacy, volunteerism, and program partnerships at the Resource Distribution Center East. This director serves as a credentialed minister, speaks on behalf of Convoy at churches and conferences, administers sacraments, and conducts religious worship.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Nurtures relationships with existing church partners and creates new relationships with new church partners within assigned region and personal network of relationships.

Speaks in churches and at conferences or other gatherings, challenging people to join Convoy of Hope’s movement of compassion to bring physical and spiritual help to the poor and the suffering.

Influences churches to participate in One Day to Feed the World, feedONE, and other Convoy of Hope initiatives.

Leads Vision trips with pastors to experience the work of Convoy of Hope in the United States and in select international program locations.

Hosts pastors and other guests of Convoy at the RDC East, sharing Convoy's vision and the RDC's impact in the East region.

Contributes toward team revenue goals, participates in scheduled team meetings, and attends all Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities.

Provides for Convoy of Hope chapel ministry as scheduled.

Conducts worship services.

On the field, as a representative of both Convoy of Hope and Convoy’s partner ministries, provides regular devotional teaching and prayer for Convoy of Hope workers.

Provides spiritual counseling to Convoy of Hope team members and volunteers.

Performs sacerdotal functions as requested by Convoy of Hope team members, volunteers, or others, both at the Convoy of Hope offices and on the field.

Provides prayer support, encouragement, and resources for church leaders to further their ministries within the local church and the communities they serve.

Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ordained, licensed, or commissioned minister with church ministry experience (required).A bachelor’s degree is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Three or more years of experience in a pastoral role is required.

Possesses ability to use a PC and software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Demonstrates strong organizational skills for handling several projects at one time.

Displays excellent interpersonal communication skills for dealing with pastors and other leaders.

Demonstrates excellent presentation skills for casting vision and communicating needs.

Is able and willing to travel, both domestically and internationally, as requested.

Has excellent pastoral relationships from a broad spectrum of geographical locations.

Has no other employment or conflicts of interest that would distract from the director’s main responsibilities at Convoy of Hope unless by written approval, per Convoy of Hope’s conflict of interest policy.

Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope’s At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.

Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.

Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.

As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
