Job Shift: Day SUMMARY
The Manager, Annual Giving is responsible for the development, execution, and ongoing growth of the Museum’s annual giving program, with a focus on donor acquisition, retention, and increased annual giving revenue. This role will lead the development and execution of integrated annual giving campaigns across online and offline channels, while establishing and growing an annual giving society to deepen donor engagement and create a pipeline for future philanthropic support.
Working closely with Development, Marketing & Communications, and other internal teams, the Manager will develop compelling fundraising strategies, messaging, and digital donor experiences that inspire individuals to support the Museum’s mission. This role will also support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of the Museum’s online giving software and related fundraising technology, ensuring a seamless donor experience and effective integration with the Museum’s CRM.
The ideal candidate brings strong annual giving experience, a donor-centered perspective, excellent project management skills, a data-driven approach, and creativity to the role.
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive annual giving program designed to acquire, retain, and upgrade donors, with the goal of growing annual giving revenue to $350,000 annually within five years. Establish strategies and goals for each
- Develop and manage an annual fundraising calendar incorporating online and offline giving opportunities, appeals, campaigns, and donor communications
- Develop and implement segmented donor strategies based on giving history, engagement, interests, and other relevant data
- Monitor annual giving performance and make data-informed recommendations to optimize revenue and donor engagement
- Partner with Marketing & Communications to develop compelling fundraising messaging and creative across email, direct mail, social media, website, and other channels
- Ensure a consistent, compelling, and donor-centered experience across all annual giving touchpoints
- Assist with annual giving budgeting, revenue forecasting, reconciliation, and performance analysis
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of the annual giving program
- Manage defined pipeline of new and retained donors through meaningful interactions and execution of appropriate relationship building steps to increase philanthropic revenue and identify and develop major donor targets.
- Actively identify top relationships within portfolio to strategically align moves management plans to grow giving to donor’s highest capacity.
- Engage with donors in a variety of ways to identify specific donor interests and deepen their connection to the organization. This includes but is not limited to reaching donor phone call and meeting goals.
- Leverage national donor cultivation and stewardship opportunities to increase meaningful donor interactions and stewardship plans.
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of the Museum’s end-of-year campaign, including strategy, goals, messaging, segmentation, creative, production, deployment, and reporting
- Develop and execute additional annual and community giving campaigns and appeals throughout the year based on organizational priorities and fundraising opportunities
