Salary: $57,000.00 Annually

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Development Manager drives revenue growth by managing the donor database and securing corporate sponsor ships and foundation grants. This mid-level role focuses on building strong corporate partnerships, writing compelling grant proposals, and optimizing fundraising systems to support annual events and organizational growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Corporate and Foundation Relations / Private Grants and Fundraising (50%)
  • Prospect Cultivation:
    Identify and cultivate new foundation and corporate funding opportunities, presenting them to leadership for review, and secureinvitationfor visits or application submittal, if required
  • Work with leadership and program staff to identify needs, develop, and submit proposals
  • Work with program staff, the finance department, and leadership to develop proposal budgets as required
  • Draft letters of inquiry, grant applications, and case statements
  • Write and submit proposals as necessary
  • Maintain master grant list and track responses, awards, and renewal opportunities for all submitted grants
  • Work with the Contracts and Data Analysis departments to ensure required reports are completed and submitted on deadline
Special Events & Sponsor ships (15%)
  • Work with Marketing and Creative Services staff to identify event opportunities and secure corporate, foundation, and individual sponsor ships
Database Administration and Development Operations (15%)
  • Donor Database Management:
    Serve as the primary administrator for the donor database, build out donation landing pages, and ensure data integrity
  • Oversee all gift processing and donor acknowledgement functions
  • Financial Reconciliation:
    Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile monthly fundraising reports
  • Reporting Dashboards:
    Generate monthly dashboards tracking progress toward fundraising goals for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Donor Stewardship:
    Track, acknowledge, and thank donorstomaintainhigh retention rates
Annual Fund and Marketing Support (15%)
  • Support marketing communication projects related to donor cultivation, recruitment, and stewardship
  • Work with Creative Services to produce donor communication pieces, including annual appeals, donation landing pages, event sponsorship guides, online appeals, or other donor collateral
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years of experience with grant writing, annual fund management, sponsor ships and events, or general fund development required. 5+ years and accreditation/certification(CFRE) preferred. Experience in health and human services a plus.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be cleared by PAR auto insurance carrier to operate PAR vehicles
  • Must maintain current training as required by Operation PAR, Inc.policies
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/TECHNICAL

SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of Donor CRM systems essential;

    Donor Perfect experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of grant program/project budgets required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable calling or speaking with people to establish new business relationships
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into simple terms
  • Ability to connect the philanthropic desires of donors to the philanthropic needs of the
  • organization
  • Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computers
  • Ability toaccuratelytype at least 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach
  • Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
  • Ability to movethroughoutprogram facilities both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds
  • Good hearing and vision
