Rector Bread Anglican Church

Bread of Life Anglican Church, a mission congregation of the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word since 2021, invites ordained Anglican priests to discern whether God may be calling them to serve as our Rector.

We are a Bible-believing Anglican fellowship committed to faithful preaching and study of Holy Scripture, reverent and joyful sacramental worship, dependence upon the Holy Spirit, a common life steeped in intercessory prayer, Christ-centered fellowship, and service in Jesus’ name. We currently worship Sundays at 10:00 a.m. at the American Legion Hall, 1809 Union Street, Schenectady, New York, while seeking a larger church home.

We seek a pastor who will know and care for the congregation, proclaim Jesus Christ with clarity, conviction, and compassion, lead us in reverent Anglican worship, provide attentive pastoral care, strengthen discipleship, equip laypeople for ministry, and help the parish communicate the Gospel beyond its present membership.

The Rector will work collaboratively with the Vestry to strengthen parish life, develop lay leadership, and guide the congregation through its present season of transition and growth. Experience in congregational renewal, evangelism, community engagement, or small-church ministry would be valuable. The ideal candidate should demonstrate spiritual discernment, pastoral warmth, theological depth, sound judgment, clear communication, and dependable follow-through.

Applicants must be ordained Anglican priests in good standing who are canonically resident in—or eligible and willing to transfer to and be licensed by—the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word.
