This internship is a program designed to encourage and equip men who aspire to serve in vocational ministry. This 12-week program provides first-hand experience, feedback, and instruction to a man who is pursuing pastoral ministry as God’s calling on his life.
REQUIREMENTS- Professed faith in Christ and been baptized
- Member in good standing of local church
- Aspire to serve Christ in pastoral ministry
- Cultivating character qualities seen 1 Tim 3 and Titus 1
- Strong work ethic and teachable spirit
- Agree with Baptist Faith & Message (2000) & Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy
The internship is scheduled to begin in late September.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Work 25 hours/wk (including 10-15 on site, including Sundays & Wednesdays)
- Meet weekly with pastoral staff, having completed all assigned reading prior
- Plan and prepare studies/sermons
- Attend various church meetings (e.g., Members Meeting, Church Council, Deacons, etc.)
- Lead at least one Bible Study and preach one sermon during this program
- Fulfill other related duties as assigned by the pastor
- $3,000 ($250/wk for 12 weeks) flat salary (reported on W-2)
