At Second Baptist Church, belonging comes first. We’re a Christ-centered, affirming congregation — we ordain women to ministry, several currently serve on our pastoral staff, and we welcome people of every background as beloved image-bearers of God.
We’re seeking a full-time Student Pastor to lead a well-established ministry for grades 6-12 (already 40 students strong, backed by a committed volunteer team) and to help shape our emerging young adult community. This leader will provide vision for weekly gatherings, small groups, retreats, mission experiences, and family partnership, while equipping volunteers and stewarding ministry resources with integrity.
The ideal candidate holds or is pursuing a Master of Divinity (or equivalent), brings meaningful student ministry experience, and combines spiritual maturity with strong relational and organizational leadership.
Second Baptist is a 175-year-old congregation in Liberty, a fast-growing Kansas City suburb, within walking distance of William Jewell College and downtown Liberty. We’re affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Salary and housing range from $48,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience.
