Are you passionate about empowering youth and building meaningful connections? Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana is seeking a dedicated Site-Based Coordinator to help deliver transformative school-based programming that makes a real difference in young lives.
About the RoleAs a Site-Based Coordinator, you'll orchestrate our community and school-based mentoring program by coordinating youth and volunteer enrollment, facilitating matches, and ensuring program quality. You'll work closely with community, school staff, and curriculum partners to deliver impactful programming while maintaining BBBS standards and practices. This role requires independent judgment and strong relationship-building skills to provide the highest quality support to all participants.
Key Responsibilities- Lead youth and volunteer enrollment through interviewing and assessment
- Match mentors with youth groups based on careful evaluation
- Collaborate with community, schools, and curriculum partners to ensure effective program delivery
- Monitor and support match relationships to ensure positive outcomes
- Assist in curriculum development and occasionally facilitate sessions
- Document interactions and track program metrics
- Apply independent judgment in implementing BBBS standards
- Travel to community and school sites within our service area (25-45%)
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field
- 3+ years of experience in human services or education
- Strong assessment and relationship-building abilities
- Excellence in organization and program coordination
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently while maintaining program standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Passion for youth development and mentoring
