POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Community Food Program Director, the Community Food Program Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day administration and operation of the USDA Child Care Food Program (CCFP), including the After school Meals Program (AMP), and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) across Club and community partner sites in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Hernando counties. The position also coordinates designated administrative functions for the organization’s food pantries and approved food support for organizational meetings, trainings and special events.

Leadership

• Model the mission, vision, ICARE values, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay; and the principles and practices of non-profit organizations.
• Work closely with the Community Food Program Director tosupport responsible program growth by evaluating community needs, site readiness, operational capacity, and program requirements.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, attention to detail, responsible stewardship of resources, and a commitment to serving youth and community partners.

Compliance

• Manage assigned administrative functions for USDA meal programs, including site applications and amendments, renewals, meal ordering, meal-count compilation and reconciliation, state system updates, required records, vendor coordination, budget tracking, and reimbursement claim preparation for Director review.
• Visit assigned after-school and summer meal-service sites to observe program operations and complete required monitoring reviews including documenting findings, provide technical assistance, and track corrective actions through completion.

Program Management

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Child Care Food Program (CCFP), including the After school Meals Program (AMP), and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at Club and community partner sites.
• Train and support site staff on meal service procedures, recordkeeping, food safety, and applicable program requirements.
• Work closely with food vendors to ensure all food program requirements are met.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with Club staff, community partners and vendors.
• Coordinate designated administrative support for the organization’s food pantries, including food and supply ordering, inventory tracking, data entry, distribution reporting, record retention, partner communication, and periodic onsite support.
• Communicate with state program officials, vendors, partners, and site staff to resolve service, documentation, and compliance concerns.
• Coordinate approved food and beverage support for organizational meetings, staff training, and special events, including pricing, ordering, delivery or pickup, dietary needs, purchase documentation, and onsite support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Experience in coordinating multi-site operations, logistics, budgets, and competing deadlines preferred.
