Position Overview **: LJI has a highly impactful strategy for fighting human trafficking that has been shown to be effective in a variety of contexts around the world. The Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) will play a crucial role in overseeing our fundraising activities, donor relations, and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in fundraising, a deep understanding of donor psychology, and the ability to inspire and lead a team.

The CAO will report to the CEO and is responsible for building and executing an excellent fundraising , marketing and public relations plan, and understanding and learning the information technology systems to support the function, and should be prepared to spend 50% of their time traveling to meet with donors, staff, and visit the field.
** Key Responsibilities****:
** The primary duty of the CAO is to manage and execute our fundraising efforts and to architect a plan that grows annual funding to $15 million within five years while holding fundraising efficiency at approximately 20%. This includes:
* Develop with stakeholders, document, and implement a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising strategy.
* Identify, cultivate, and secure new sources of funding, including grants, corporate partnerships, and individual donations.
