Legacy Bible Church is seeking a Next Gen Pastor. Legacy Bible Church is a gospel-centered church located in Denison, Texas, dedicated to helping people grow in their faith through the teaching of God’s Word. The church emphasizes the life-changing power of the Gospel, encouraging believers to embrace, embody, entrust, and share the message of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.

Through biblical preaching, worship, discipleship, and community outreach, Legacy Bible Church seeks to build a strong and welcoming community where individuals and families can deepen their relationship with God and live out their faith with purpose. Church attendance is between 850-900 weekly.

The Next Gen Pastor will have the primary responsibility to oversee the discipleship process for Next Gen while fulfilling the vision of Legacy Bible Church. The role of the Next Gen Pastor (NGP) is to oversee the Next Gen team and will require a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, and strategy of Legacy Bible Church with the ability to align the ministry team with its mission, vision and values.

• Pastoral leadership and shepherding to the Next Gen Team which includes:
  • Kids,
  • Student, and
  • Young Adult College Ministries.
• He will:
  • Lead,
  • Develop,
  • Manage,
  • Mentor/shepherd team leaders while providing
    • Oversight, care, and
    • Collaboration across the Next Gen ministry.
• He will also:
  • Assist ministry leaders in growing strong age-appropriate discipleship pathways while equipping and partnering with parents.

• Lead, develop, manage, and mentor/shepherd the Next Gen Ministry staff and volunteers.
• Lead the Next Gen Team and volunteers to develop a long-term plan to ensure a strong discipleship pathway, equipping & educational ministry.
• Create and manage operational budgets for the Next Gen Ministry.
• Give direction to staff and volunteers through establishing and clearly communicating vision, goals and plans on a regular basis.
• Provide leadership for the ongoing development of our disciple-making strategies for the next generation.

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Next Gen Pastor:

• Education and Experience.
• 5-10 years of experience, preferably within a Next Gen Ministry setting (youth, preteen, kids).
• Seminary degree preferred.

• Ability to give constructive feedback and evaluation regularly to help produce quality ministry work while growing ministry leaders and volunteers interpersonally.
• Submits their life to God and the authority of his Word, and models a commitment to developing the character of Christ, with a passion for ministry.
• A Christ-like mindset that has demonstrated itself in all facets of life because they have been made new but have not forgotten what it was like to not know Jesus.
• Maintain personal time with God, seeking His direction and prayerfully submitting to His will for your life.
• Pray constantly for the lost and hurting to find life in Christ and for those already in a relationship with Christ to grow deeper in Him.
• Strong ability to be a "leader of leaders" to build and develop Next Gen (NG) ministry team leads as they execute the vision and mission of Legacy Bible Church for adult discipleship.
• Strong ability to build teams and break down any potential silos within the NG team structure in order to maintain unity among ministry leaders.

• Pastoral heart to shepherd the flock.
• Has an authentic and intimate relationship and walks with Jesus Christ.
• Aligns doctrinally with the Doctrinal Statement of Legacy Bible Church.
