We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide essential healthcare services to Veterans across Kentucky. In this role, you will perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, conducting interview-based evaluations and physical assessments to support Veterans' benefits claims. Your expertise will directly impact the well-being and recognition of our nation's heroes, making this a highly rewarding position.

Required Skills:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky
• Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
• Comfortable performing interview-based evaluations and physical assessments

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Prior experience with compensation and pension examinations
• Knowledge of veterans’ health concerns and benefits processes
• Certification in specialized areas related to primary care or geriatrics

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Experience working with veteran populations is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Own your office location within Kentucky; providers must have their own office space within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY
• Willing to work PRN, providing flexible hours including half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours)
• Maintain documentation and follow-up administrative work associated with exams and reports
• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities required
• Valid certification, licensure, and ability to perform exams efficiently and accurately
• Reliable internet access for reporting and administrative tasks
