We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide essential healthcare services to Veterans across Kentucky. In this role, you will perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, conducting interview-based evaluations and physical assessments to support Veterans' benefits claims. Your expertise will directly impact the well-being and recognition of our nation's heroes, making this a highly rewarding position.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky
- Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
- Comfortable performing interview-based evaluations and physical assessments
Skills:
- Prior experience with compensation and pension examinations
- Knowledge of veterans’ health concerns and benefits processes
- Certification in specialized areas related to primary care or geriatrics
Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience working with veteran populations is a plus
- Own your office location within Kentucky; providers must have their own office space within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY
- Willing to work PRN, providing flexible hours including half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours)
- Maintain documentation and follow-up administrative work associated with exams and reports
- No prescribing or treatment responsibilities required
- Valid certification, licensure, and ability to perform exams efficiently and accurately
- Reliable internet access for reporting and administrative tasks
