General Medicine Nurse Practitioner Near Mc Quady, KY We are seeking a qualified and compassionate General Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum tenens opportunity near Mc Quady, KY. This position offers a unique and flexible opportunity for NPs to perform Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams, as well as Separation Health Assessments for veterans. This role is ideal for NPs with a background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine who are looking for a non-treatment focused role.

Days Option for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts. Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Exams are primarily interview-based, with some physical assessments including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is required. Utilize a goniometer and be proficient in METs testing. Evaluate and diagnose musculoskeletal, diabetes, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological conditions. Reporting:
Complete and submit standardized Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours of exam completion. No narrative report is required. Record review is required in most cases. Follow-up administrative work may include addendums, medical opinions, and reviewing diagnostics. Key Highlights:
Flexibility:
The position is PRN (as needed) with an ongoing requirement, offering flexibility in scheduling. NPs can choose to travel and perform exams at a leased facility or schedule veterans within their own practice. Support and Training:
Quick credentialing and onboarding process. DMA certification is available and can be obtained post-privilege if not already certified, with CME credits available. Comprehensive training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). Technology:
Providers must have their own personal laptop (no Macs) to complete evaluations in the provider portal. Candidate Requirements:
Licensure:
Must hold a current Kentucky state license.
Certifications:
AANP certification is required.
Experience:
Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions.
Experience with METs testing, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological evaluations is essential. Additional Information:
